Fernando Torres wants Liverpool to rival Arsenal for his Spain strike-partner David Villa.
Torres said: "David is a natural goal-scorer, everyone saw that against Russia.
"The partnership feels good but this is only the first game and we need to be consistent and let it develop."'
Only yesterday, Cesc Fabregas urged Gunners boss Arsene Wenger to bring Spain teammate Villa to Emirates stadium.
The Arsenal midfielder also admitted: "We will have to see if Fernando and David form the best partnership in Euro 2008. Russia was just one game. We started like this in the last World Cup with a 4-0 win over the Ukraine so we do not want to get too excited.
"Torres and Villa are excellent together and are still very young.
"Fernando is 24 while David is 26. They are very dangerous and have a great understanding. To open the tournament with a 4-1 win is great for the team's confidence."
