Midfielder Roger Torres has joined MLS expansion franchise Philadelphia Union on loan from America de Cali.

The 18-year old Colombian starlet has been training with the Union for much of the pre-season and will be added to the roster pending his International Transfer Certificate.

Union coach Peter Nowak was delighted to announce that Torres would be a Philadelphia player during the club's first season.

"We're very excited to have Roger join our club," Nowak said. "He's another young, talented player with a lot of potential and he'll be a strong addition to our midfield attack. His creativity and ability to see the whole field will help us play the way we want to play."
