Fernando Torres insists his £50 million price-tag was never a problem for him at Chelsea.
Torres will lead Chelsea's attack tonight against Atletico Madrid in the European Super Cup.
"The money Chelsea paid for me was never something I was worried about," said Torres. "It didn't make me play badly. It was just a difficult change from Liverpool to Chelsea. But all these things are in the past.
"When you feel the confidence of everyone and you're in the line-up, the confidence is easier to have back. You know you're going to play, or think you are, and that gives you more time to play your football. I'd never been on the bench for eight games in a row as I was last season. It was like being 17 or 18 again, fighting for my place.
"That's the main difference between this and the previous one-and-a-half seasons at Chelsea. I'm playing more minutes and the confidence is back."
