Liverpool striker Fernando Torres is reportedly ready to quit the club. The Daily Star suggests the Spain international is disillusioned with how the club is performing under new manager Roy Hodgson and wants to leave in January.
Manchester City have already been linked with a £50million move for the 26-year old who believes the Reds hierarchy have gone back on their promise to bring in quality players in an attempt to challenge Chelsea, Manchester United and Arsenal for the title.
Torres was close to leaving Anfield in the summer after manager Rafael Benitez left for Inter Milan but was persuaded to stay when incoming boss Roy Hodgson signed Joe Cole and promised to sign more.
The former Atletico Madrid man is now reconsidering his future with a winter departure on the cards.
