Torquay boss not ruling out jumping ship for Bristol vacancy

Torquay boss Paul Buckle has refused to rule out taking the reins at Bristol Rovers. Buckle is a surprise candidate but it is now believed that the npower English Championship club might well be interested.

"It's always flattering when you're mentioned in connection with any job at a higher level," Buckle told thisisdevon.co.uk. "It proves we're doing something right here.

"All I'm thinking about is beating the weather and getting in some good training. We gave the players a couple of days off after the Rotherham game was called off.

"The players are back in tomorrow and will be working every day over Christmas."
