Toronto star Bradley urges USA to find ways to win

The USA national team have recorded just one victory in their past seven internationals.

On Tuesday night, the US drew 1-1 with Switzerland despite leading until the 80th minute which ultimately is not good enough according to star midfielder and stand-in captain Michael Bradley.

"Finding ways to get results on these types of days is important, especially given the way we've let some games slip away in the last stretch," said the Toronto FC ace who was deputizing for the injured Clint Dempsey.

"Certainly not the prettiest night and obviously having to play down a guy the last 20 minutes (after Jozy Altidore's red card) makes it even more difficult, but it's important to be able to have the mentality that even in these kinds of game you still know how to take something."

Since the 1-0 win over the Czech Republic in September, the US have drawn with Ecuador and Honduras (both 1-1), lost to Colombia (2-1), the Republic of Ireland (4-1), Chile and Denmark (both 3-2) while beating Panama 2-0 in what has been a below par run of results for Juergen Klinsman's men.
