Reports are suggesting that Jermain Defoe's much talked about move to Major League Soccer is set to soon be finalised.
The Tottenham striker has been heavily linked with a big-money shift to Toronto FC and The Guardian, as well as news outlets in Canada, have stated that a press conference in Canada on Monday has been called to unveil the new signing.
Spurs will reportedly bring in around £6million for the 31-year old England international who could remain in north London until mid-March before heading over to Ontario ahead of the 2014 MLS season.
Defoe will link up with former Tottenham teammate Ryan Nelsen who has been in charge of TFC since the beginning of last year.
