Toronto FC goalkeeper Julio Cesar admits he has been surprised by the quality of Major League Soccer.
The 34-year old Brazilian joined the Reds on loan from QPR in February and has assimilated well to the North American game since his arrival.
Cesar, who has previously played for Flamengo and Inter Milan, said he had been taken aback by the popularity of the league which is growing bigger and more competitive as each season passes.
"The Premier League has a fantastic organisation, the stadiums are always full and there is a great respect for the players from the fans," he told Globo Esporte.
"I must say though that what I'm seeing in the MLS is not much different from what I saw in England. The organisation is wonderful and the fans are very creative, it is one thing that I never thought I would find here."
Cesar's second match for Toronto resulted in a 1-0 victory over DC United on the weekend which has the Canadian side sitting third on the Eastern Conference table.
