Toronto FC defender Doneil Henry is set to soon complete his mooted move to West Ham United.
The 21-year old Canadian international has had his work permit approved and confirmed by Kudos Management - the agency that represents him - meaning he will officially join the English Premier League club in the January transfer window.
Henry's rights were sold by TFC to Cypriot club Apollon Limassol earlier in 2014 but he returned to BMO Field on loan for the remainder of the season.
It is now apparent that the youth academy product will make the move to east London in winter after he was recommended to Hammers boss Sam Allardyce who previously worked with ex-Toronto head coach Ryan Nelsen at Blackburn Rovers.
Congratulations to our client Doneil Henry on receiving a work permit which will allow him to complete the transfer to West Ham #EPL#CanMNT

Henry, who has been capped 14 times by Canada, is set to become one of a small number of Les Rouges players who have played in England's top flight including former Ipswich Town, Chelsea and Hammers keeper Craig Forrest, ex-Tottenham and Fulham man Paul Stalteri and Tomasz Radzinski who played as a striker for Everton and the Cottagers.
