Toronto FC pair Jeremy Hall and Jonathan Osorio admit the addition of Michael Bradley will help them both become better players.
The USA international has now linked up with the Reds following his big-money move from Italian club AS Roma and two of his fellow midfielders are excited about gaining a soccer education from their new teammate.
"It's just the way he reads the game," Hall told MLSsoccer.com.
"When he's coming to collect the ball, he knows where pressure's coming from. It almost looks like everything comes slow to him."
Osorio was equally as gushing in his appraisal for Bradley who counts Heerenveen, Borussia Monchengladbach, Aston Villa and Chievo Verona as some of his former clubs.
"He's bringing a leadership quality that I haven't seen from other midfielders I've played with," Osorio added.
"He raises the level of the whole team beside him. He expects more out of me and I expect more out of him. It's great to play alongside him.
"I'm not afraid to do things now. I know if something does happen where I make a mistake, Michael's going to be there to back me up. It lets me be more confident on the field to play the way I know how."
Hall, Osorio and Bradley will be in action when a new-look Toronto side takes on Seattle Sounders at CenturyLink Field in their 2014 MLS season opener on March 15.
