Toronto's Amarikwa takes his hat off to NYRB star Henry

Quincy Amarikwa was full of praise for Thierry Henry after his side succumbed to the brilliance of the Frenchman.

Amarikwa and his Toronto FC teammates edged ahead in inside seven minutes when Ryan Johnson fired home from 30 yards but that was enough for ex-Arsenal and Barcelona great Henry who took matters into his own hands.

He supplied three assists and scored a goal himself to lead New York Red Bull to a 4-1 win at the Red Bull Arena and his match-winning performance was not lost on Amarikwa who was in awe of the veteran striker's evergreen abilities.

"That's how you dream of starting every game, going up a goal and keeping the momentum," Amarikwa told MLSsoccer.com regarding Johnson's opener.

"There was high tempo, good pace, we came out trying to play and it just got away from us.

"He's (Henry) a world-class player, he's a DP and he gets paid big bucks, that's just what he does, that's what he's known to do. And you know you sometimes just have to take your hat off to him."
