Toronto performance shows ex-Wolves, Rangers striker Miller committed to Vancouver

Vancouver Whitecaps head coach Martin Rennie suggests that Kenny Miller's performance on the weekend shows he is fully committed to the club.

The Scotland internationals future in Vancouver was being questioned in the offseason as he considered a return to the UK but Rennie feels his hustling game in the 1-0 season-opening win over Toronto FC proves he wants to be with the Whitecaps.

"I thought Kenny did very well," Rennie told the Vancouver Sun of the former Rangers, Wolves and Cardiff City man.

"When you've got a forward running back to the corner flag against the fullback, three or four, five, six times in a game, you've got someone who cares about your club.

"Especially when it's someone who's been there and done it. Those guys sometimes come over here to this league and don't show that kind of hunger, that desire. But when you see that from a player like him, that makes you very, very happy as a coach."
