Toronto parts ways with Welsh midfielder Robinson

Toronto FC have confirmed they have parted ways with former Wales international Carl Robinson, losing one of its original members.

The 33-year old has joined New York Red Bulls for the 2010 season after Toronto released him, which was confirmed by coach Preki Radosavlijevic.

“Carl has been released," Preki told Toronto FC TV. "I was involved with the decision. A decision had to be made taking everything into account and we have to move forward.

“He had already made up his mind he wasn't coming back here.”
