Johann Smith is currently on trial with Croatian club NK Rijeka. The Toronto FC midfielder joined the club in August 2008 from Bolton. Smith is unhappy with his base salary of $36,000 and is looking for a return to Europe.
During his time at Bolton, Smith spent time on loan with Carlisle, Darlington and Stockport.
