Toronto FC have terminated the contract of Cameroon-born forward Ali Gerba.

The 27-year old Canada international was signed by the Reds last June to a lucrative deal but failed to make an impact with just one goal in 11 games.

Gerba showed up to Toronto's pre-season training reportedly out of shape which prompted the club to think about moving him on and yesterday the termination of his contract was made official.

Toronto was the 11th club Gerba had played for since he began his professional career with the Montreal Impact in 2000.
