Toronto FC striker Sebastian Giovinco has confirmed contact with Barcelona.

Giovinco says Barcelona made inquiries about his availability before he moved from Juventus to the Canadian club.

“Although it seems like a lie, it's true that there was contact with Barcelona.

"There was nothing concrete, but there were approaches," the forward told Sportitalia.
