According to reports, Toronto FC are set to trade midfielder Sam Cronin to the San Jose Earthquakes.

The 23-year old, who was the second overall pick in the 2009 SuperDraft, has struggled for game time under new Toronto coach Preki who hinted that a trade move may be made to improve things at BMO Field.

"You're always trying to do things to get better," Preki told the Toronto Sun about the possible Cronin deal. "We're not looking to do anything crazy."
