Toronto FC have had a shake up with the sacking of director of soccer Mo Johnston and head coach Preki. The pair have been removed from their positions after failing to make the play-offs both last season and this term and will be replaced by Earl Cochrane, who will act as interim GM, and assistant coach Nick Dasovic, who will assume the head coaching position until the end of the 2010 season.

Executive vice president and chief operating officer of Maple Leafs Sports & Entertainment, Tom Anselmi, said the club needed a change.

"It hasn't worked, it just hasn't worked and so we're moving on," he said.
