Toronto FC have shot down suggestions that they were set to pursue Carlos Tevez.
Lancenet reported that the MLS club were set to make an offer for the Manchester City striker but that speculation is wide of the mark according to a TFC spokesman.
"We are not in talks to acquire Carlos Tevez," the spokesman told The Canadian Press.
The report suggested that TFC were preparing a $10million bid for the Argentine ace who has also emerged as a target for promoted French club AS Monaco.
