Toronto FC's Luis Silva has begun his training stint with German 2.Bundesliga club FSV Frankfurt.
The 23-year old midfielder departed Canada on Thursday to take up a two-week training spell following an impressive rookie campaign in MLS.
Toronto boss Paul Mariner feels it will be a very positive experience for Silva who he is confident will return to the BMO Field as a much improved player.
"I think that will help him," Toronto FC head coach Paul Mariner told MLSsoccer.com. "It's a different environment.
"I don't think we'll have a sophomore slump with Silva. He really loves the game, he wants to improve, he wants to get better."
