Toronto FC have dropped their pursuit of Argentine striker Maximiliano Urutti according to the Globe and Mail.
The Canadian outfit were on the verge of signing the 22-year old attacker but have decided against continuing their negotiations with Newell's Old Boys.
Newell's are currently experiencing financial difficulties and have been unable to come to terms with TFC who are also after an Argentine midfielder.
It has been reported that Toronto head coach Ryan Nelsen is tracking Argentinos Juniors' 21-year old Matias Laba.
