Toronto FC are closing in on an unnamed Argentine striker with a deal set to be finalised soon.
The club has released 20-year old midfielder Matt Stinson to make room for another signing and according to head coach Ryan Nelsen and director of team and player operations Earl Cochrane, the new striker is on the verge of being added to the roster.
"Minor stuff (is holding the deal up)," Cochrane said. "There's always just little things that hold stuff up."
Nelsen added: "What I've heard is the club is going into some trouble - administration trouble.
"Which means instead of one signature it needs about five signatures (to get done)."
