Toronto FC general manager Earl Cochrane admits the club will be heavily involved in Wednesday’s MLS Re-Entry Draft.

The league will hold the draft for the first time and although Cochrane says there is some hesitancy that comes with the territory, he admits that it is an interesting concept where it may pay to have a good look at what’s available.

“We kind of thought it would be a case of experienced guys that are generally a little expensive and that’s what you find here,” he told MLSsoccer.com.

“It will likely be those mid-level guys that are willing to come down [in salary] that will be most valuable to teams.

“We’re looking at several key components that anyone that knows our roster will understand,” Cochrane added. “There are maybe six key starting-11 type players we are after. The rest is about filling out our roster.”

Players like Guillermo Barros Schelotto, Jeff Cunningham, Juan Pablo Angel and Jimmy Conrad will all be on the list for the 2010 MLS Re-Entry Draft.
