Toronto FC complete signings of Cann and Usanov

Toronto FC have picked up two defenders in the form of Canada international Adrian Cann and Russian Maxim Usanov.

29-year old Cann joins from Danish club Esbjerg where he spent two seasons after stints with Vancouver Whitecaps, Montreal Impacts and Colorado Rapids whilst Usanov comes across from Russian outfit FC Krasnodar. He has also spent time with Zenit St Petersburg and Skonto Riga among others.

Toronto's director of soccer Mo Johnston was delighted to welcome the duo to the club, saying they will be great acquisitions to the playing list.

"We're delighted to complete the signing of another Canadian international," Johnston said in a statement.

"Adrian will add to our backline with his height and his strength, so we're looking forward to seeing what he can do on the field for us.

"Max is another good young signing for us at the back. He attacks well and defends well."
