Toronto FC skipper Jim Brennan admits he still thinks about the disappointing loss in the last match of the season that denied them a spot in the MLS play-offs.

The Reds were defeated 5-0 by New York Red Bulls, the team with the worst record in the league, and Brennan claims he is still shattered when he thinks of that day.

"You think about it all the time," Brennan told Tuesday's CBC Sports. "As a player, it's disgusting. Your last game, you lose five-nil away from home - that's something you don't want to happen in your career, but unfortunately it happened to us. I tell you one thing, that won't be happening again."

The 32-year old former Canada international plans to use that effort as motivation going into the 2010 season and is targeting at least a play-offs position this time around.

"I'm still upset that we didn't make the playoffs, but it makes us more eager now to get things right. It's crucial, it's vital. We need (to make the playoffs) for the fans, for the club, for ourselves. We need to push forward and start making things happen at this club."
