Toronto FC have appointed Leo Percovich as their new assistant coach.
The former Uruguay international joins from Chivas USA where he was goalkeeping coach and worked closely with recently appointed Toronto head coach Preki Radosavlijevic.
"Leo and Preki worked well together at Chivas, and like we said from the beginning when we hired Preki, if he wanted to bring his own guy in we would let him," said director of soccer Mo Johnston.
"I think Leo will mesh very well with the existing staff we have here."
Percovich had an extensive playing career, representing clubs such as Nacional in Uruguay, Brazil's Atletico Mineiro, Guarani and Fluminense, Peru's Alianza Lima and Racing de Ferrol in Spain - he also represented the Uruguay national team on six occasions.
As well as serving as Chivas' goalkeeping coach, he was also keeping coach at Colorado Rapids in 2006 and 2007.
