Toronto FC head coach Ryan Nelsen says the Blackburn Rovers versus Burnley rivalry is one of the biggest he has been involved in.
The former New Zealand captain is aware that Toronto have a fierce competitiveness with Montreal Impact in MLS but revealed that it is nowhere near the hatred the Rovers and the Clarets have for each other.
"The most intense game I've ever experienced," Nelsen told the Canadian Press of the Lancashire derby.
"I've experienced Tottenham-Arsenal but it was nowhere near the Blackburn-Burnley one. There's a real hatred there.
"It's absolutely huge. It's way bigger than most people know in England."
Toronto defeated the Impact 2-0 in the first leg of the Canadian Championship semi-final on Wednesday night.
