Toronto FC coach Chris Cummins says he is remaining calm about his future at the club.

The 38-year old Englishman may be coaching his last game with Toronto this weekend if the team fails to qualify for MLS play-offs but he admits that he has not really thought about what will happen after taking over from John Carver in April.

"I was asked to do the job until the end of the season," said Cummins.

"If that continues, listen, I don't know. I'll stay as long as I'm asked to stay and I'll move on if I'm asked to move on.

"I think that's how it is. It's a job."

The Reds take on the struggling New York Red Bulls in the final game of the regular season on Saturday and a victory, plus favourable results later in the day could see Cummins take Toronto to the play-offs - something he would love to achieve in a job he loves.

"At the end of the day, it's a job I love doing," he said. "I don't put that type of pressure on myself.

"I take each day as it comes and, as I said, there's other things I could be doing in this world, isn't there?"
