Toronto FC head coach Ryan Nelsen has played down suggestions that QPR's Julio Cesar has already signed with club.
The 33-year old Brazilian goalkeeper is being heavily linked with a loan move to the Reds ahead of this summer's World Cup which was confirmed by national team boss Luiz Felipe Scolari.
However, Cesar's former R's teammate Nelsen was remaining cam on talk of the former Inter Milan soon signing with TFC.
"At the moment, I can't really comment because nothing has been finalized," Nelsen said.
"I haven't spoken to Julio for a couple of days, so I don't know [about what Scolari said].
"It is something that would be really nice for the Toronto fans and the community to have a player of his skill, expertise and experience. I might have to give Scolari a call to see if it has happened."
TFC general manager Tim Bezbatchenko added: "I can't comment on that right now, but when something happens, if it happens, I will let the media know."
