Toronto FC and captain Dwayne De Rosario are amidst discussions regarding a new contract it has been revealed.
The 32-year old Canada international has been at odds with the club for a while now due to his contract status which he feels should be a lot higher than what it currently is.
De Rosario has come under fire from TFC management in recent times, mainly for his decision to join Scottish giants Celtic for a trial which he apparently did not discuss with the club.
A deal with Celtic could not be sorted and now De Rosario is back in Toronto and although his contract is not yet finalized, he is eager to get back on the pitch and put whatever confusion to the side.
"It's not settled - no, I'm not," he said. "But, that's between me and the club.
"I didn't think that there was any confusion (with the proposed Celtic move) until I saw a press release. But the past is the past. I've moved on."
