Torino striker Ciro Immobile was fuming after their derby defeat to Juventus.
Immobile avoided being sent off for a lunging tackle from behind that left Carlos Tevez with a cut to his ankle.
"It didn't seem like a sending off to me, as I tried to get the ball," Immobile told Sky Sport Italia.
"After all, Nigel De Jong hit me with a similar foul last week. I didn't put any nastiness into it. Claudio Marchisio was also booked for a pretty much identical tackle on me."
Juventus won the Derby della Mole 1-0 thanks to a Paul Pogba header, but Tevez was offside and decisive in the build-up.
"We knew this game would be decided by incidents and we were penalised, so it was then difficult to catch them up again."
