Torino president Urbano Cairo is stunned by the demise of Giampiero Ventura's Italy.
Cairo had been a staunch supporter of his former Toro coach during the World Cup qualifying campaign.
He said, “I don't know why he hasn't resigned yet, because to be honest, I did not see the Ventura I knew. He looked more like a guest than a Coach.
“Again last night against Sweden, it was all crosses into the box against players who are over 6ft tall, it was like repeatedly running into a brick wall… We did the complete opposite of what we should've done.
“Perhaps Ventura is better suited to club football than the Nazionale. As a CT, he didn't have players at his disposal for long."
Cairo added: “Now it's time to think of a global reboot, as the responsibility lies with those who controlled the system until this moment. This is an epoch-making moment of incredible importance. It is crucial that the system intervenes."
