Torino president Urbano Cairo confirmed yesterday they had secured Alessandro Rosina to a new contract through to 2011.

"He's a nice lad and understands the club's situation," said Cairo. "He understands that Torino have a wage ceiling.

"I have assured him a personal gift (bonus) for the end of the season. I won't discuss figures, it will be a gift to him from the president."

Rosina declared: "I hope those people who doubted my commitment to Torino have now been silenced. I love Torino and the fans here. I followed my heart in making this decision."
