Torino president Urbano Cairo has revealed they've had a deal for AC Milan striker Alberto Paloschi blocked at the last minute.

"We already had a formal agreement with Milan for Paloschi," Cairo told SportItalia.

"When he was in the Czech Republic with the Under-19 side all that was missing was his signature.

"But yesterday Galliani called me after the injury to Marco Borriello to put the brakes on the deal. He said that they would rather keep hold of him, at least for the moment.

"We have an excellent relationship with Milan. In the next few days we will see whether we are still looking for Paloschi or another striker."
