Torino president Urbano Cairo is confident of a successful season after yesterday's 2-2 draw with Reggina.

Cairo was delighted with the debut performance of Alvaro Recoba and said: "The attack is doing good things. Alessandro Rosina and Nicola Ventola are looking good. Recoba, as well, has been influential and had a hand in both goals. He also looked very good.

"The defence has conceded too many goals, but this will change. We now have (coach) Walter Novellino, who is a wizard of the defence and will organise everything."
