Torino have swooped for Fiorentina midfielder Mauro Alberto Santana.

The deal was done on the request of Toro coach Giampiero Ventura.

"The Argentine was the first player that we were asked to sign by Giampiero Ventura," Toro President Urbano Cairo said.

"He is an individual who can play out wide and therefore he will be of use to us."
