Sunderland are currently eyeing up a swoop for Torino defender Davide Zappacosta, according to reports from Gazza Mercato.

Sunderland manager David Moyes is looking to strengthen his backline this summer and he has already managed to secure the services of Papy Djilobodji from Chelsea in a deal worth £8million.

Now Moyes is looking to make further reinforcements to side and according to reports, the Scottish manager has set his sights on signing 24-year-old full-back Zappacosta.

It is understood that the Black Cats will make a bid for Zappacosta in the coming days.
