Torino have slapped a £16 million price-tag on winger Alessio Cerci.
The Daily Star Sunday says Arsenal have joined Manchester United for Cerci's signature.
The 26-year-old joined Torino from Fiorentina in the summer of 2012 and has enjoyed superb goalscoring form this season netting eight goals in 12 matches.
United have been monitoring the performances of the Italian international for a number of months and manager David Moyes is weighing up whether to make a January move for his services.
But Italian sources say Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is lining up a new year bid to trump United.
