Torino defender Angelo Ogbonna admits he is delighted to have made his Italy debut.
He made his bow as a substitute in the 2-0 friendly victory over Poland.
"I am still so fired up, as I didn't expect to play, but the Coach had told me that sooner or later I would get an opportunity," he grinned.
"I will always try to do my best and make it difficult for Prandelli to make decisions, knowing he has options available."
It wasn't the best start for Ogbonna, who was booked during his 15 minutes on the pitch.
"I was a little too aggressive in that tackle, but the pitch wasn't holding up well and I couldn't stay on my feet properly.
"I am happy for Mario Balotelli getting that goal, so I hope he can score many more in future."
