Torino coach Mihajlovic remains hopeful keeping Belotti from Chelsea

Torino coach Sinisa Mihajlovic is quietly confident they can keep hold of Andrea Belotti.

The Italy striker was the subject of a €70m bid from Chelsea last week,.

And Mihajlovic said: "It was not easy to hold Belotti. Not because he does not want to stay, but because the president received offers and they were not the required €100m.

"At first, Belotti had a little trouble and when speaking, it was understood that the €100m would come with difficulty. And anyway, I was not sure he would accept it.

"At this point, I would say he is happy to stay. His teammates appreciate him and I respect him, he knows. He is our captain and our striker. I do not like to talk about Belotti all the time because the strength of the Torino is the squad, and this is true for Belotti and the others.

"Alone, he is not going anywhere, the individual players improve with the group."
