Torino coach Mihajlovic happy to take Udinese point

Torino coach Sinisa Mihajlovic was left satisfied with their 2-2 draw against Udinese.

The Granata dominated the first half, going in with a deserved 1-0 lead, but fell behind in the second and needed an Adem Ljajic goal to take a point.

“We go home with a point and a good performance," Mihajlovic told Sky Italia.

“It was an open game, we were guilty of not closing it out. In the second half they put four strikers on and it was difficult, we did well to recover and the draw was fair.

“We keep conceding the same goal, on crosses, even though we've worked on that. We need to do better away from home, but the first thing was to recover the mentality that's in our DNA and we did that.

“In Serie A, you lose if you hesitate and it just takes a moment to lose your way.

“A few weeks ago I said that my team was at 50 per cent, we have to improve on certain things like managing our strength across both halves.

“That also comes down to youth though, and the fact I always play to win, which means taking a few risks. If we'd played our other away matches like we did today, we'd have more points.

"Mihajlovic was sent to the stands in the second half, and the Serbian admits it was deserved.

“I was definitely in the wrong. I clarified it with the referee and the fourth official."
