Torino coach Gasperini unhappy with strikers after derby defeat

Torino coach Gian Piero Gasperini was upset with his strikers after their 1-0 derby defeat to Juventus.

"The difference is only seen upfront," he said of the team that has scored 25 goals in 27 games.

"We do have problems in attack at the moment, but it's not just the strikers, it's the way we all move and provide service.

"It's a real shame, as Torino played today and Juventus didn't, but the Bianconeri still won. I had asked my side to play badly if they had to, but win. We played well and lost.

"We did very well for 70 minutes, but when [Alessandro] Rosina went off and then [Eugenio] Corini, we were pinned back a bit more."

Novellino was unhappy with the deciding goal by Giorgio Chiellini, as he felt the free kick should not have been awarded for Riccardo Colombo's tussle with Vincenzo Iaquinta.

"I would like to see the free kick incident again, as Juventus are physically strong players and they tend to lean a little bit to earn fouls. Iaquinta did very well to put himself in position and lean back, forcing Colombo into the foul.

"We always struggle against players who are physically strong and can push us around."
