Torino sports chief Fabio Lupo insists he was sorry to see Walter Novellino sacked last week.

He explained: "I am sorry for the dismissal of Novellino, but there are times when you need to change something to try to shake up the environment. The easiest move is to replace the coach.

"We knew Gianni De Biasi, he is a coach who can make things easier since he worked in the Granata dressing room already last year and knew the situation very well."
