Former Schalke defender Tore Reginiussen is pleased with his loan move to Lecce.
Lecce have an option to sign him outright at the end of this season having already agreed a three-year contract.
Interviewed on their official website, Reginiussen said: "I confirm the first impressions that I've had since my arrival in Lecce: I like the city a lot and the group as a whole, from the players to the coaching staff, they are all great people.
"I am happy to be here. We are talking about a great experience for me, which gives me the opportunity to be a protagonist in Italian football.
"Having watched it from abroad, I am fascinated by the Italian League in which important teams and great players compete.
"The principal difference with respect to Germany is that you play with the ball more in Italy. It's less physical.
"I have always been used to playing in a four-man defence. For me, it doesn't make any difference who we play against.
"Mister De Canio is helping me every day to facilitate my adaptation and the learning of the movements that he wants in defence."
