One World Sports (OWS) has extended its role as the exclusive North American multi-platform rights holder to three top domestic football leagues in Asia, reports SportsPro. Under the terms of a deal with World Sport Group (WSG), the 24-hour English-language broadcaster of Asian sports will air action from Japan's J. League, the Korea Professional Football League (K-League) and the Chinese Football Association Super League (CSL) for three years from 2012.
These games will add to its current weekly coverage of two games from the Australia's A-League.
"We are so pleased with the extension of our J. League, K-League and CSL football rights," said Rick Jemison, senior vice president of programming at One World Sports. "We are committed to bringing Asia's best soccer matches to its fans in North America. It is a tremendous vote of confidence for Asia's preeminent soccer leagues to choose us to continue to deliver the live and exclusive coverage of their games."
