Manchester United and Manchester City are among the highest spenders in the Premier League over the last five years.
Due to the TV money flowing in, Premier League sides boast significantly more spending power than most teams across Europe and it has been no surprise whatsoever in seeing a number of clubs splashing the big bucks on transfers.
Now according to reports from talkSPORT, it can be revealed that United and City have been the biggest spenders on the transfer market over the last half-decade, with their net expenditure totalling up to a whopping £282.26million and £280.56million respectively.
Liverpool (£161.37million), Chelsea (£150.55million) and Arsenal (£97.58million) are the teams which round off the top five in the spending table.
