Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos has hit out at their critics.

Kroos insists Real are playing well, despite their shock home defeat to Villarreal on Saturday.

The Germany international sent a message to fans on social media earlier on Sunday.

"It is true that this is a difficult moment for us and for all Real Madrid players," began Kroos.

"But anyone who says that we played a bad game today has no idea about football, it was a good performance and we have to continue like this.

"We can win this season!"
