Luca Toni has confirmed he's ready to join Genoa after terminating his Bayern Munich contract.
The striker is a free agent after his deal with Bayern, which had one year left to run, was rescinded by mutual consent.
"I am very close to signing for Genoa, but first I need to sort out a few details with Bayern Munich," announced Toni.
"President Enrico Preziosi and Coach Gian Piero Gasperini showed a great desire to have me in their team.
"I am very drawn to Genoa and let's just say there are only a few details remaining before we can complete the move.
"We have wanted to seal the deal for a few weeks and I am sure in a couple of days we will sort everything out."
