Michael Tonge is happy to stay and fight for his place at Stoke City.
Tonge doesn't make the squad for an away game, he reports to the club for training on the match day instead.
He told The Sentinel: "Maybe there will be a stage of the season where I need games and the manager will look to loan me out. But at the moment I am happy staying here, working hard and trying to get into the team.
"If I can't do that then I want to push the lads in the team hard to bring up their performance levels. You can be out of the side for a while and then thrown in.
"I am not on my own, there are other lads who want to play as well. It is about the squad and we have a really good spirit.
"That has been shown in our last couple of league games where we have come from behind to get points."
