Tomkins: Zola good for West Ham young players
West Ham United defender James Tomkins is delighted with his progress under manager Gianfranco Zola.
Tomkins has become an ever-present for the Hammers in recent games.
"The manager has had the confidence to play me and that brings a massive confidence to me and the other younger boys who have had their chance. If the youngsters do well, then they will get their chance to impress him," Tomkins told WHUTV.
"He's good for youngsters and will always take them aside to give them a bit of advice on where they can improve and do a bit with them after training if they want and he has been brilliant for me.
"When the manager puts faith in you and trusts you it is always nice to repay him with performances, which I try to do."
